(Fake) Warcraft movie trailer [2]
Based on the first in the legendary Blizzard real time stagey game
series. I was watching Excalibur and wondered: what would a Warcraft
movie look like if it was directed by John Boorman? What if Orcs and
Humans was treated like a true medieval war epic? --- The music is
the Carl Orff version of O Fortuna from Carmina Burana. --- Warcraft
has always had a pretty thick narrative and always walked the fine
line between gritty action fantasy and silly self referential humor.
I am a fan of medieval war epics though without overly complex
costumes and armor or fancy choreography, focused more on the
brutality of ancient battle. Outside of maybe Lord of the Rings there
are few examples of some one taking a fantastic concept and treating
it as a real story, crafting the characters and surroundings to be as
realistic as possible given the parameters. To be honest this
dramatic approach might not quite work with Warcraft, but it made an
interesting trailer experiment XD From:
